We recently heard about a dog who passed away overnight in an un-manned veterinary facility, when I checked the license of the vet there was disciplinary action against him on his record. PLEASE PLEASE NEVER leave your pet in a facility where no-one is there to monitor it, it just makes no sense. The pet cannot be helped if it goes into distress if there is no-one monitoring it, ALWAYS transport your animal to an emergency facility/hospital so someone can care for it. If your vet wants you to leave your pet over night and no-one stays to monitor them GET ANOTHER VET!!!!! You would NEVER leave your children unattended if you could not be with them if they were sick and the same must apply to our beloved pets.

I want everyone to check the license of the vet/s they use and you should do it on a six monthly basis, it is your way of checking references on them and seeing if they have had disciplinary action taken against them for ANY reason and if they have you are allowed to know exactly what the issue was and how it was dealt with and resolved, so you can make an informed decision if you want to continue using them.
